About

The Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine (ACAM) is a college for doctors and nurses practising aesthetic medicine across Australia and New Zealand. The College is committed to advancing safe, ethical and evidence-based practice through education, accreditation and advocacy.

AME was engaged to take over the management of ACAM to strengthen its operational foundations, streamline administration and improve the delivery of services to its members. Our role includes managing the day-to-day operations of the College, providing governance and administrative support to the Board and committees, coordinating member services, and delivering the College's annual three-day workshop.

Challenge

When AME took over the management of ACAM, the College was partway through implementing a new service model that was ultimately deemed unworkable. Our first priority was to transition the College to a sustainable operating model while maintaining continuity for members and the Board. Communication had fallen behind, operational processes were fragmented, and there was limited visibility across key activities.

AME restructured the operational model, introduced specialist resources for accreditation and member services, implemented a centralised member portal, documented core processes, and established a project management platform to manage all operational activities. This created a more responsive member experience, improved operational efficiency, and provided the Board with greater visibility and control.
